Neva See (Clayborn) Moon

     Neva See (Clayborn) Moon, age 97 of Byrdstown, TN passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at her residence.

     She was born August 1, 1928 in Jamestown, TN to Wheeler Rose Clayborn and Veary Belle (Pennycuff) Clayborn. She was a member of Frogge Chapel United Baptist Church. Neva enjoyed taking care of babies, sewing, flowers and gardening, and feeding anyone that came through the door. 

     She was preceded in death by her parents: Wheeler and Veary Clayborn; husband: Drannon Moon; (1) daughter: Carlene Hargrove; (1) son: David Moon; (1) grandchild: Brad Cooper; (2) sons-in-law: Ken Farmer and Herbert Crabtree; (4) brothers: Sammy, Oz, James and Ernest Clayborn; (2) sisters: Maggie Moon and Thelma Hurst.  

     Neva was survived by (2) daughters: Linda Crabtree, Barbara Smith and husband: Alan; (2) sons: Mark Moon and wife: Bertha Faye, Kip Moon and wife: Sandy; (1) daughter-in-law: Judy Moon; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; (2) sisters: Nell Brown and Lillian Hicks. Also survived by other family members and friends.

     Funeral services were held Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 2:00 PM from Brown Funeral Chapel. Bro. Seth Moon, Bro. Ethan Moon and Bro. Rick Cross officiated. The burial was in Fairview Cemetery. 

     Serving as pallbearers were Daniel Moon, Bill Farmer, Toney Stephens, Mike Stephens, Josh Moon, Blake Moon, Jody Moon. 

     Serving as honorary pallbearers were: Tim Cooper, Jamie Coots, Jamie Todd Pennycuff, Lonnie Moon and Danny Moon. 

      The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 AM until the service at 2:00 PM.
